The case for it

Why It's a Pilgrimage

Gamble Sands is the destination golfers keep discovering late and then can't stop raving about: enormous, generous fairways above the Columbia River that make scratch players and 20-handicaps equally happy. The 2023 addition of the Scarecrow course turned a great course into a two-day pilgrimage, and the Quicksands short course is pure dusk-light fun. It is the under-the-radar bucket-lister — remote enough to feel earned, fun enough to stay an extra round.
