Snake River Grill is the essential dinner — elk tenderloin, bison short ribs, a wood-burning oven, and a room that feels like it belongs to the place rather than imported from somewhere else. For a group that wants to move, Hatch Taqueria handles a large table well and their tequila selection is genuinely serious. The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar on the Square has saddle barstools and live country music and is exactly as wonderfully ridiculous as it sounds; the Silver Dollar Bar at the Wort Hotel, with 2,032 silver dollars inlaid in the bar top, is better for an earlier drink when you want to actually hear each other talk. The honest financial picture for a group of twelve over four days — two bucket-list rounds each, a house in Wilson, two real dinners out — lands somewhere around $1,200 to $1,600 per person before flights. That's real money, and Jackson makes no apology for it.
